The UMN Southwest Research and Outreach Center (SWROC) will hold its annual Organic Field Day on Wednesday, July 10, beginning at 9:00 a.m. The field day includes a tradeshow, field tour of organic research projects, and presentations on organic farming. A trio of SMSU Planetarium shows marking the 50th anniversary of the first Apollo landing on the moon are planned for Thursday, July 18. “The Eagle Has Landed: Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Apollo 11” will be shown at 5, 7 and 9 p.m. on July 18 in the Planetarium, located in SM 178 on the SMSU campus. Tickets are $5 and will be available at the door. July 2019 marks the 50th anniversary of the first Apollo landing on the moon.
