A trio of SMSU Planetarium shows marking the 50th anniversary of the first Apollo landing on the moon are planned for Thursday, July 18.

“The Eagle Has Landed: Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Apollo 11” will be shown at 5, 7 and 9 p.m. on July 18 in the Planetarium, located in SM 178 on the SMSU campus. Tickets are $5 and will be available at the door.

July 2019 marks the 50th anniversary of the first Apollo landing on the moon. Project Apollo was NASA’s program to build and fly the first spaceships to take humans to another world. Learn more about what made Project Apollo so special, and enjoy a virtual journey at the SMSU Planetarium.
