Eileen “Blondie” Raddatz, age 73 of Redwood Falls, passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at River Valley Health & Rehabilitation Center in Redwood Falls after a three year battle with cancer.  Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at St. John Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls.  Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, April 26 at Redwood Valley Funeral Home.  Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at church on Tuesday.  Interment will be in the Redwood Falls Cemetery.  Due to the current Covid-19 restrictions, guests will be required to wear a mask and practice social distancing guidelines.  Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Eileen “Blondie” was born April 24, 1947 to Edward and Mildred (Timm) Schiller in Springfield, Minnesota.  She was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Springfield.  Blondie attended country school and then graduated from Springfield High School. Blondie held a variety of jobs including a telephone operator, waitress, and special ed paraprofessional at Redwood Falls schools, which led her into her career as a head cook and food service director for over 30 years. She retired in 2019 due to her health. Blondie’s passion was fishing, where she earned the title of “the fish witch”. She also enjoyed playing bean bags, cards, checkers, coloring, camping, dancing and going to the casinos.  But most importantly, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Blondie was always selfless, kind, had a smile that lit up the room and touched many lives.

Eileen is survived by her husband Roger of 54 years; children: Travis (Renee) Raddatz, Tracey Raddatz (Chris Gordon)  and Tara Scott (Rick Scott)  all of Redwood Falls; grandchildren: Brandon (Dina) Raddatz, Chelsey (Tyler) Stark, Logan (Kacey) Zaske, Logan (Jaden) Winge, Miclain Winge, Sedona Scott, Bob Ehlers, Samantha (Kevin) Woltjer and Amanda Rasmussen; 12 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; siblings: Don (Maggie), Joan, Janice, Lola, Lorene, Kathleen (Jim), Douglas (Marcia), Darvin (Ardis), Jolene, Elizabeth (Lloyd), David (Jean) and Daniel (Vicki); and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings: LouAnn Leopold, Roberta Schiller Johnson, Dennis Schiller and Charles Schiller; and nephews Chad Schmidt and Andy Schiller.
