Darel Pfarr, age 68, of Marshall, Minnesota, died unexpectedly on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at his residence in Marshall. A private interment will take place at a later date. Arrangements are with the Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall.
Darel Ray Pfarr was born on May 2, 1955. He was the son of William “Bill” and Katie Pfarr. Darel grew up in the Marshall area where he also attended school. Darel served briefly in the United States Military during the Vietnam War prior to returning home. Darel worked in Marshall where he was mostly self-employed lending his talents to local carpentry and construction needs. From the time he was a young boy he often noted that he was going to be a Carpenter because that’s what Jesus did. Darel grew close to the other residents in his apartment complex, you could often find him chatting with his neighbors and friends. He and close friends enjoyed picking sweet corn and asparagus and sharing it with others in the building. Darel also enjoyed riding motorcycle in his younger years and trying his luck at the casino.
Darel Ray Pfarr died on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at his residence in Marshall, Minnesota. He had reached the age of 68 years, 10 months, and 1 day. Blessed be his memory.
He is survived by his son, Raymond Pfarr; brothers, Dan Pfarr of Walnut Grove, Dale (and Carmelita) Pfarr of Tracy; sister, Sherry Pfarr of Wyoming; other relatives and friends. Darel was preceded in death by his parents; a favorite grandmother, Wenonah Thompson; and a sister, Darlene Thompson.
