MARSHALL – A Cottonwood woman was injured in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 23 this morning, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. At approximately 11:11 this (Friday) morning, A 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix was traveling eastbound on County Road 33 and a 2020 Chevrolet Express Van was traveling southbound on Highway 23 when the vehicles collided in the intersection.  

The driver of the Pontiac, 25-year-old Rebecca Lynne Silvers of Cottonwood, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the Marshall hospital. (UPDATE 7/22/23 8:30 a.m. — A supervisor with the Minnesota State Patrol confirmed with Marshall Radio that Silvers was later airlifted to the Sioux Falls hospital with unspecified injuries.)

The driver of the Chevrolet, 36-year-old Ryan Michael Guillaume of Brooklyn Park, was not injured. 

Assistance was provided by the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, Marshall Police Department, Marshall Fire Department, and North Memorial Ambulance.
