MARSHALL — Originally scheduled for this Saturday, the grand opening of the new indoor playground at the Marshall Area YMCA has been postponed until a later date. Rural Tracy Man Injured in Two-Vehicle Collision near Tracy TRACY, Minn. — On Friday at 8:00 in the evening, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two-vehicle accident near the intersection of 310th Avenue and 160th Street near Tracy. The Marshall Police Department reports the following incidents: On Friday at 7:41 in the morning, an injured pedestrian was reported at the 600 block of Southview Drive. A juvenile female was injured and transported to the hospital. An adult male was arrested for criminal vehicular operation, having no insurance, no MN driver’s license, and failure to yield at a crosswalk. Train, Semi Collide Near Green Valley

GREEN VALLEY — The Lyon County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a collision between a train and a semi truck north of Green Valley Thursday afternoon. The crash occurred around noon near the intersection of Lyon County Road 22 and Minnesota Highway 23, where a BNSF rail line crosses the road. Authorities said the train did not derail, and no injuries were reported to the train crew or the semi driver, a 75-year-old rural Cottonwood man. Marshall Student Injured in Crosswalk Near Southview Elementary

MARSHALL — A Marshall Public Schools student was injured after being struck by a vehicle in the crosswalk near Southview Elementary on Friday morning.  Emergency responders transported the student for medical care, and the incident remains under investigation by local authorities. Winsted Woman Killed, Marshall Man Injured in McLeod County Crash

SILVER LAKE — A Winsted woman is dead, and a Marshall man was injured after a two-vehicle collision on Tuesday in McLeod County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. At 9:21 Tuesday morning, a 2005 Pontiac Sunfire was traveling eastbound on Highway 7 and a 2009 Ford F350 was traveling southbound on County Road 2.
