Two Injured After Two-Vehicle Collision in Yellow Medicine County

(STONY RUN TWP, MN) Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday on Highway 212 in Yellow Medicine County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.  At 3:51 Tuesday afternoon, a 2010 Buick Enclave and a 2020 Mitsubishi Mirage were traveling northbound on 490th Street in Stony Run Township when they collided.  Authorities say the driver of the Mirage, 37-year-old Odin Phoenix Bollman of Granite Falls, and passenger 18-year-old Victoria Nicole Garcia of Granite Falls, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to Avera Granite Falls.  The driver of the Buick, 24-year-old Amara Lee Dietz of Granite Falls, was not hurt. MnDOT Urges Safety Around Farm Equipment During Planting Season

The Minnesota Department of Transportation is reminding drivers and farm equipment operators to use caution on roadways this spring as planting season gets underway. MnDOT said farmers rely on highways to move equipment between farms and fields, especially on rural two-lane roads through early summer. Driver Injured in Redwood County Rollover Crash

REDWOOD COUNTY — One person was injured in a single-vehicle rollover crash Friday morning in rural Redwood County.  According to the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched at about 8:45 a.m. on April 17 to the intersection of Camp Avenue and 290th Street.   Authorities said Elijah Munoz was driving northbound on Camp Avenue when he lost control of a tan Buick Enclave. Avera Receives $35 Million Gift for Children’s Hospital Project

Avera Health announced it has received a $35 million donation from philanthropist and entrepreneur B. Thomas Golisano to support pediatric care and the ongoing Tomorrow’s Promise Campaign. The contribution is the largest single gift in the organization’s history. In recognition of the donation, the new children’s hospital inside Avera McKennan’s patient care tower in Sioux Falls will be named the Avera Golisano Children’s Hospital. A $35 million campaign has been launched to renovate the historic 4-H Building at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds and expand statewide Minnesota 4-H programs. MARSHALL (KMHL) — A Marshall Middle School student was struck by a vehicle Thursday morning at a pedestrian crossing at the intersection of East Main Street and A Street, according to Marshall Police and Marshall Public Schools officials. MARSHALL (KMHL) — Southwest Minnesota State University’s fifth annual M4L Day of Giving has concluded after raising $115,620 to support students and campus programs.
