Mary Clara Timmerman (Lootens) passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2020, at St. John’s Circle of Care in Springfield, Minnesota. Mary Clara Timmerman was born on March 1, 1923, in Omaha, Nebraska, to Henry and Clarice Lootens. In 1928 the family moved to a farm north of Minneota. On September 10, 1946, Mary was united in marriage to Andrew Timmerman at St. Edward Catholic Church in Minneota; they were married over 65 years. Raymond Richard Johnson was born on June 6, 1925 to Richard and Inez (Herschberger) Johnson in Ash Lake Township, Lincoln County, Minnesota on the family farm. Raymond attended rural country school before helping his family on the farm. Raymond was united in marriage to Ruth Scotting on April 5, 1968 at Bethany Elim Church in Ivanhoe, Minnesota. The couple continued to live on the family farm while owning and operating their restaurant in Ivanhoe for over 20 years. Ruth preceded Raymond in death on September 29, 2019. COVID-19 numbers jump statewide and in southwest Minnesota

ST. PAUL (KMHL) – It is the deadliest day Minnesota has seen to date due to the Coronavirus. According to the Minnesota Department of Health, there were 17 more deaths due to COVID-19. That ups the state’s death total to 111. The total amount of confirmed cases in Minnesota climbed to 2,071. The number of cases in southwest Minnesota has continued to grow as well. Lyon County has 6 cases, while according to official numbers, Nobles County has 12 confirmed cases. Walz joins Midwest Governors coalition to reopen economy

PAUL (LEARFIELD)  --  Governor Tim Walz joined the governors of Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky in announcing that they will work in close coordination to reopen the economy in the Midwest region. Somali Community makes $3,000 donation to city of Marshall for COVID-19 response
