Dwayne Edward Eisfeld was born on December 8, 1944, in Tyler, Minnesota to Herman and Annetta (VanEck) Eisfeld. He lived his early years on the farm in Murray County. He attended country schools, District 45 and 20 and graduated from Balaton High School in 1962. Dwayne went on to further his education and received a degree in Agriculture Education from South Dakota State University in 1969. Officials say Montevideo veterans’ home awaits funding from federal government

MONTEVIDEO (KMHL) – A proposed veterans home in Montevideo is awaiting a funding decision from the Federal government. That is what Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs Commissioner Larry Herke told officials in Montevideo during his visit to the community early this week. ST. PAUL (LEARFIELD) - Two more Minnesotans have died due to complications from severe lung injuries associated with vaping. "We're deeply saddened by the news of these deaths and very, very concerned that so many Minnesotans continue to suffer severe injuries in this outbreak," said Minnesota Department of Health Commissioner Jan Malcolm. Lyon County joining state task force to combat human trafficking

MARSHALL (KMHL) – The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office will join a statewide task force to investigate human trafficking. The task force is being led by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. It uses a three-pronged approach to fighting human trafficking, with a focus on prevention, education and enforcement.
