Stranded boater rescued on Minnesota River at Granite Falls
GRANITE FALLS (KMHL) – A Sacred Heart man was rescued after his boat became disabled on the Minnesota River in Granite Falls. According to the Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Office, authorities received a 911 call Friday afternoon shortly after 1:30. The man told the dispatcher that his boat wasn’t running and he was holding on to a tree branch, but was unable to get to shore. Authorities say Andrew Hanson, 24, of Sacred Heart was not injured in the incident – emergency responders were able to get Hanson back to the landing safely.
Republicans claim credit for stabilizing health insurance premiums, Walz says more needs to be done

PAUL (LEARFIELD) - Republicans say the "reinsurance" program they pushed through the legislature over Democrats' objections is what will keep health care premiums relatively stable in Minnesota for the third straight year in 2020. Minnesota State waiving application fees for October
ST. PAUL (LEARFIELD) - October is College Knowledge month and officials at Minnesota State are waiving the application fee for students to apply for admission to Minnesota State schools. "It's a statewide initiative to encourage students to consider all of their college options," said Minnesota State Spokesman Doug Anderson. "The colleges and universities of Minnesota State are participating by waiving application fees for application for admission for all or part of the month of October," said Anderson.
