SILVER LAKE — A Winsted woman is dead, and a Marshall man was injured after a two-vehicle collision on Tuesday in McLeod County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. At 9:21 Tuesday morning, a 2005 Pontiac Sunfire was traveling eastbound on Highway 7 and a 2009 Ford F350 was traveling southbound on County Road 2. The vehicles collided in the intersection.
The driver of the Pontiac, 67-year-old Ardith Marlene Turvander of Winsted, was pronounced dead at the scene. The State Patrol said Turvander was not wearing her seat belt.
The driver of the Ford, 28-year-old Sebastion Elle Diede of Marshall, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the Hutchinson Hospital.
