WINDOM — Late on December 31, 2024, the Windom Police Department responded to a reported stabbing at the Phat Pheasant Pub at approximately 11:47 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered two male victims, aged 30 and 31, both suffering from stab wounds. 

Officers rendered aid at the scene, and the 30-year-old victim was transported to Windom Area Hospital. Despite life-saving efforts, he was pronounced dead. 

A suspect, identified as a 26-year-old male from San Diego, CA, was apprehended shortly after the incident. Witnesses at the scene identified him as the assailant. He sustained minor injuries, received treatment at Worthington Hospital, and is currently in custody at the Cottonwood County Jail. 

The case remains under active investigation. Authorities have not released additional details but stated that further updates would follow.
