The funeral service for William “Bill” Rauenhorst, 72, of Marshall, will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at the Horvath Remembrance Center in Marshall. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will take place at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery at a later date. The Horvath Funeral Service in Marshall is handling the arrangements.
William Jerome Rauenhorst was born on August 21, 1949, in Medford, Oregon to Jerome and Catherine (Korman) Rauenhorst. He moved to Olivia in 1950 and also lived in Willmar. Bill has lived at a REM home in Marshall since 1977. He worked for Advance Opportunities. Bill enjoyed watching the Minnesota Vikings and Twins. He enjoyed going out for a cup of coffee and especially enjoyed his relationship with his brother, Dennis.
William died on Saturday, July 16, 2022, at his residence in Marshall. His siblings were Steven, Dennis, Glen, Mary Kae and Fred. He is survived by his housemates and friends at REM and co-workers at Advance Opportunities.
