MARSHALL — The American Red Cross is calling for urgent blood donations after severe weather last month led to thousands of uncollected units. Blood drives are being held today to help replenish supplies, with all blood types needed.

Donors can give blood at the Ruthton Community Center from 12:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Additional drives will be held today at Christ Lutheran Church in Slayton (1 p.m. – 7 p.m.) and the Mt. Lake Community Center (1:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.).

As a thank-you, all donors who give by Feb. 28 will receive a $15 e-gift card. Eligible donors must be at least 17 years old (16 with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in good health.

To schedule an appointment, download the American Red Cross Blood Donor App, visit RedCrossBlood.org, or call 1-800-RED CROSS.
