TRACY, MN (KMHL) — According to the Minnesota State Patrol, at approximately 6:02 Sunday Evening, a 2019 Toyota RAV4 was traveling westbound on highway 14 just east of Tracy, when it left the road and struck some trees. The driver of the RAV4, 46-year-old Choua Xiong of Tracy, received non-life-threatening injuries. Her two passengers, 53-year-old Thai Vang and a 12-year-old juvenile also sustained injuries. All three were transported to the Tracy Hospital. Due to complications from injuries sustained in the accident, passenger 53-year-old Thai Vang was airlifted to Sioux Falls where he was pronounced dead. The updated report notes that Vang was not wearing his seat belt. Assistance was provided by the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, Tracy Fire Department, and Tracy Ambulance.
