SANBORN – Two Sanborn teenagers were injured in a rollover accident on Highway 71 in Cottonwood County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. At approximately 12:16 Saturday afternoon, a 2009 Dodge Ram pickup was traveling southbound on Highway 71 in Amboy Township of Cottonwood County. Near the intersection with 280th Street, the vehicle left the roadway, entered the east ditch and rolled.
The driver of the Dodge, 17-year-old Tyler Paul Therkilsen of Sanborn, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the Windom hospital. One of his passengers, a 16-year-old Carter John Therkilsen of Sanborn, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the Windom hospital. The other passenger, 14-year-old Jordan Randal Therkilsen, was not injured.
Assistance was provided by the Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office, Sanborn Fire Department, and Windom Ambulance.
