DARFUR – Two people were injured after their vehicles collided in Cottonwood County on Sunday, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. At approximately 6:24 Sunday evening, a 2009 Chevy Cobalt and a 2007 Hyundai Sonata were both traveling eastbound on Highway 30 in Selma Township of Cottonwood County when they collided with each other. 

The driver of the Chevy, 26-year-old Elizabeth Louise Eckhoff of Brooklyn Center, sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.  

The driver of the Hyundai, 38-year-old Brent Charles Tesch of Eagle Lake, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the St. James – Mayo Clinic.  

Assistance was provided by the Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Office, Mountain Lake Police Department, and Darfur First Responders.
