GRANITE FALLS (KMHL) – A 45-year-old man had to be airlifted and two people are in custody following a stabbing that occurred at a rural Granite Falls residence Sunday afternoon.

According to the Yellow Medicine County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred in the 5400 block of 260th Avenue shortly after 2 p.m. yesterday.

Authorities say the victim was taken to Avera Granite Falls – then flown to Sioux Falls, his condition is unknown at this time.

Sheriff’s officials say two others were taken into custody in the incident. Authorities say there is no further risk to the public.
