The “People’s Choice Awards” announced their nominees yesterday. And we just might see a red carpet debut from everyone’s favorite couple, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, since they’re both up for awards.
Taylor tied with Luke Combs, Nicki Minaj, and Morgan Wallen with five nominations each. While Travis is a first-time nominee for Athlete of the Year.
The other Athlete nominees are tennis star Coco Gauff, Giannis Antetokounmpo, LeBron James, Lionel Messi, basketball player Sabrina Ionescu, Simone Biles, and Stephen Curry.
In music, the Male Artist nominees are Bad Bunny, Drake, Jack Harlow, Jung Kook from BTS, Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, Post Malone, and The Weeknd.
The nominees for the Female Artist of the Year are Beyoncé, Doja Cat, Karol G, Lainey Wilson, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Olivia Rodrigo, and Taylor.
The Group/Duo of 2023 nominees are Dan + Shay, Fuerza Regida, Grupo Frontera, Jonas Brothers, Old Dominion, Paramore, Stray Kids, and Tomorrow X Together.
The nominees for the Movie of 2023 are “Barbie”, “Fast X”, “Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3”, “Oppenheimer“, “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse”, “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour”, “The Little Mermaid”, and “The Super Mario Brothers Movie”.
And the nominees for TV Show of 2023 includes “The Bear”, “Only Murders in the Building”, “The Last of Us”, “Ted Lasso”, and “Vanderpump Rules”.
There’s also five new categories this year. They are Male Country Artist, Female Country Artist, Male Latin Artist, Female Latin Artist and Concert Tour.
Voting in all 45 categories is now open until January 19th at VotePCA.com.
The show airs live on February 18th at 8:00 p.m. Eastern on E!, NBC, and Peacock. Simu Liu is hosting.
