MARSHALL — The SMSU/Community Concert Band will present Ceol Beo: An Irish Experience tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the SMSU Fine Arts Theatre. The concert is free and open to the public.
The program features a range of Irish-inspired works.
Professor of Music Dr. John Ginocchio said, “There are a number of pieces based on Irish folk music, ballads, drinking songs. It’s going to really be an enjoyable concert to come to. I know the band has really enjoyed playing the music as well, and I’ve loved working on it!”
The SMSU/Community Concert Band includes SMSU students, community members, and area high school musicians. The ensemble rehearses Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m.
