UNDATED (KMHL) – Severe thunderstorms rumbled across southern Minnesota yesterday afternoon.

A building was destroyed in the Farmington area and many trees and power lines were knocked down from Heidlberg to Belle Plaine to Henderson.

Parts of southeast Minnesota also saw large hail. Baseball-sized hail was reported in Dodge Center and some areas of the southern metro area reported significant flooding around Lakeville.

There was one radar indicated tornado warning issued yesterday in the Apple Valley, Burnsville and Prior Lake areas. Weather officials have not confirmed any touchdowns though.

Closer to home, hail was the main problem, quarter-sized hail was reported near south of Granite Falls while the Clarkfield and Cottonwood areas both saw quite a bit of hail yesterday.
