(Undated) — Republican Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach secured a decisive victory in Tuesday’s primary election for Minnesota’s 7th Congressional District, receiving 65 percent of the vote against rural Kensington business owner Steve Boyd, who earned 35 percent. Reflecting on her campaign, Fischbach stated, “We’ve been traveling the district. We’ve been meeting with folks, working hard, making sure that we represent their values, and I think that the primary results validate all of that hard work.” Fischbach, who unseated long-time Democratic Congressman Collin Peterson in 2020, will now face Democrat A.J. Peters in the November election.
