ADRIAN – An Oklahoma woman and child were injured when debris from another vehicle struck theirs, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. At approximately 4:46 Friday afternoon, a 2017 Chevy Silverado was traveling westbound on Interstate 90 in Nobles County near Adrian when two small refrigerators fell out of the back of the pickup. A 2020 Mercedes CLA that was following the Silverado was struck by the debris.
The driver of the Mercedes, 36-year-old Cassi Carol Richardson of Lawton, OK, and her passenger, an 11-year-old boy, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to the Luverne hospital.
The driver of the Chevy, 61-year-old Brian Michael Connot of Sioux Falls, was not injured.
Assistance was provided by the Adrian Fire Department and Adrian Ambulance.
