REDWOOD FALLS – Memorial Day is widely recognized as the unofficial start of summer, but for the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Redwood Falls, it represents a time to honor and remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. The Redwood Falls State Veterans Cemetery will hold a special ceremony to commemorate Memorial Day and pay tribute to Minnesota’s fallen service members and support their families.

To commemorate Memorial Day, the Redwood Falls State Veterans Cemetery will host a special ceremony on Sunday, May 26th at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemeteries near Redwood Falls, located at 33752 Noble Avenue. A pre-ceremony with live music will start at 1:30 with the official ceremony beginning at 2:00.

The program will feature military honor guards, music, and a guest speaker. Given the expected high attendance, attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and carpool if possible.

Artificial flowers are permitted on grave sites from May 17 to June 6. Fresh cut flowers are allowed at any time. Artificial flowers placed outside the specified dates will be removed. A complete list of floral regulations is posted throughout the cemetery.
