Peterson to hold listening session with agriculture secretary at Farmfest

REDWOOD FALLS (KMHL) – House Ag Committee Chairman Rep. Collin Peterson (D-Minnesota) will hold a listening session at Farmfest.

The session will feature U.S. Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue and other members of Minnesota’s congressional delegation.  The session will be held Wednesday August 7^th at 10:30.

“I’m looking forward to the lively discussion that I’m sure will take place during our listening session and want to thank Farmfest for providing the opportunity,” said Peterson. “I’m also glad to be welcoming Secretary Perdue to western Minnesota so he can hear directly from producers about the state of the farm economy. Producers in the area are also looking forward to updates from Secretary Perdue on farm bill implementation and the roll-out of trade aid and disaster payments.”

Farmfest is held annually at the Gilfillian Estate, just outside of Redwood Falls.
