OLIVIA (KMHL) – An Olivia woman has been sentenced to 60 days in jail for failing to report abuse in her home daycare facility.
Peggy Uhlenkamp, 45, pleaded guilty to a charge of a mandated reporter failing to Report the Abuse of two or more children.
Uhlenkamp’s facility was shut down after her 17-year-old son, allegedly molested three girls in her care. Her son was found mentally incompetent to defend himself to the charges.
Uhlenkamp entered an Alford Plea to the failure to report charge. An Alford Plea means the defendant doesn’t admit guilt, but admits there is enough evidence for a conviction.
