OLIVIA (KMHL) – A 45-year-old Olivia woman pleaded guilty to a charge of failing to report abuse of children in her daycare. Peggy Uhlenkamp entered the Alford Plea on Monday – meaning that she doesn’t admit guilt, but admits there’s enough evidence to convict her.
Court records allege that Uhlenkamp knew that her 17-year-old son had sexually molested three girls under her care, but did not report it. Earlier this month, the judge ruled that Uhlenkamp’s 17-year-old son was not competent enough to stand trial.
Uhlenkamp is set to be sentenced on September 3rd.
