MONTEVIDEO, Minn. — A two-vehicle crash Tuesday evening in Montevideo left multiple people injured, including several juveniles.
According to the Montevideo Police Department, the incident happened around 5:18 p.m. on River Road.
Authorities say extrication was required to remove occupants from one of the vehicles. One adult and five juveniles from that vehicle were transported to CCM Health and Avera Granite Falls Hospital for treatment. The driver of that vehicle was airlifted by helicopter due to the severity of their injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle reported no injuries.
Assistance was provided by the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office, Minnesota State Patrol, CCM Health Ambulance, Granite Falls Ambulance, Montevideo Fire Department, and Life Link Helicopter.
