SAINT PAUL — The Minnesota Department of Public Safety Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) has released a public version of its Driving While Impaired (DWI) Dashboard, an interactive tool that provides access to data on impaired driving arrests and crashes. Originally developed in 2016 for law enforcement, the tool is now available to the public for the first time.

The DWI Dashboard allows users to search and filter data by age, alcohol concentration, incident day, and more, providing a detailed look at impaired driving incidents statewide or within specific communities. Funded by the Department of Public Safety Office of Traffic Safety (OTS), the dashboard aims to support both law enforcement and public safety initiatives.

The tool is designed to help users understand the impact of impaired driving in Minnesota and is expected to contribute to prevention efforts. The DWI Dashboard is now accessible on the BCA’s website under the Statistics/Reports section. A Youtube tutorial video on using the dashboard can be found here.
