MARSHALL (KMHL) – Lyon County Commissioners have decided to go forward with a town-hall meeting on refugee resettlement in Lyon County.

Lyon County Administrator Loren Stomberg tells Marshall Radio that even with an injunction in place that halts the issue from being turned over to the counties, it’s an issue that commissioners feel should be discussed.

The injunction on President Trump’s executive order though prevents counties from taking action on it, for now, according to Stomberg.

The town-hall meeting will be held January 28th at 6:30 p.m. in the Lyon County Law Enforcement Center. So far, 60 counties in Minnesota remain undecided on if they will vote to allow refugee resettlement.
