MARSHALL (KMHL) – The Lyon County Board of Commissioners voted to approve a curbside recycling pickup program to keep the service running.
Commissioners approved a contract with Southwest Sanitation to continue the program, but on an every-other-week schedule. The new schedule will begin November 1 and run through April 2021.
The agreement with Southwest Sanitation has a monthly base cost of just over $30,000.
The contract also gives Southwest Sanitation the right to refuse recycling carts containing improper materials.
