The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office reports the following incidents: 

On Friday at 7:56 a.m., a traffic stop was performed near the intersection County Road 6 and County Road 9 near Russell. A 29-year-old Tyler woman was cited for speeding. 

On Friday at 9:02 a.m., a burglary was reported in the 1700 block of County Road 9 near Tracy. The matter is under investigation. 

On Saturday at 9:35 a.m., a traffic stop was performed on State Highway 23 near Cottonwood. A 38-year-old Cottonwood man was cited for expired tabs. 

On Saturday at 5:40 p.m., a traffic stop was performed near the intersection of State Highway 23 and County Road 13. A 44-year-old Marshall woman was cited for speeding and having no proof of insurance. 

On Sunday at 4:21 a.m., a suspicious 911 call came from the 3900 block of 110th Avenue near Taunton. Officers discovered a single motor vehicle crash. No injuries were reported. The vehicle had to be towed from the scene. 

On Sunday at 10:54 a.m., criminal vandalism was reported in the 2300 block of County Road 5 near Lynd. The matter is under investigation.  

 

The Marshall Police Department reports the following incidents: 

On Sunday at 12:59 a.m., a traffic stop was performed near the intersection of Mustang Trail and McLaughlin Drive. After investigating, a 20-year-old Hastings man was cited for minor possession. 

On Sunday at 1:25 a.m., a traffic stop was performed near the intersection of East College Drive and South Hill Street. After investigating, a 28-year-old Marshall man was cited for driving after revocation. 

On Sunday at 3:15 p.m., criminal vandalism was reported in the 1000 block of South 4th Street. The matter is under investigation. 

On Sunday at 4:26 p.m., a hit-and-run accident was reported in the 1000 block of East Southview Drive. A report is pending. 

On Sunday at 7:02 p.m., a traffic stop was performed in the 800 block of West Southview Court. A 17-year-old juvenile Marshall boy was cited for a stop arm violation. 

On Sunday at 7:09 p.m., the theft of a bicycle was reported on Marvin Schwan Memorial Drive. The matter is under investigation. 

On Monday at 7:33 a.m., a suspicious 911 call came from the 600 block of North Bruce Street. A report is pending.
