REDWOOD FALLS — A Georgia man failed to appear at a hearing in Redwood County District Court on Monday, according to court records. 26-year-old Mojad E. Abras of Tucker, GA, was charged with failure to stop at a stop sign, reckless driving, having an uninsured vehicle, careless driving, and criminal vehicular operation.
The criminal complaint alleges that in March, Abras ran a stop sign at a high rate of speed and struck another vehicle at the intersection of Highway 68 and County Road 32 in Milroy. The collision sent vehicles and debris into the baseball field’s outfield wall and also damaged a light pole. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to the hospital with injuries.
The complaint also alleges that a Minnesota state trooper found a tablet inside the semi that was playing video, and the truck and trailer were not insured.
A remote hearing for Abras was scheduled for Monday morning, however online Minnesota court records said Abras failed to appear for the hearing. A new hearing date has not been set.
