George Klumb, age 65, of Marshall, Minnesota, died on Monday, August 15, 2022, at the Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center. Memorial Services are 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 20, 2022, at Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church in Marshall, Minnesota. Visitation will be held from one hour prior to the service, from 10:00 – 11:00a.m., on Saturday, August 20, at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Samuel Lutheran School in Marshall, Minnesota.  The Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall is handling the arrangements.

Robert George Klumb was born on September 17, 1956, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to parents Edwin and Joyce (Salentine) Klumb. He was baptized as an infant and confirmed in his youth at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Muskego, Wisconsin. He graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran High School in Milwaukee with the class of 1974 and immediately began working at the local foundry.  On July 3rd, 1993, George was united in marriage to Cindi Roethle at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Muskego. The family made their home there as George continued to work for the foundry. He held several positions including melt supervisor and manager prior to his retirement in 2019.  George was a proud member of the American Foundrymen’s Association and was very active in his church. He had a very strong faith and happy disposition which had obvious appeal to anyone that he met. George’s other enjoyments in life included bowling, watching NASCAR races, riding bicycle, traveling, and spending time with his family.

George Klumb died unexpectedly on Monday, August 15th, 2022, in Marshall, Minnesota. He had reached the age of 65 years, 10 months, and 29 days. Blessed be his memory.

He is survived by his loving wife, Cindi Klumb of Marshall; daughters, Jennifer Thomas of California, Sherri (and Greg) Roberts of Covington, LA; Brenda (and Ken) Ristau of Wood Lake; grandchildren, Tahlor Gouin of Louisville, KY, Trevor Gouin of Clermont, FL, Savannah Marks serving in the Air Force in England, Jonathan Thomas of Pittsburgh, PA, Olivia Boswell of Covington, LA; brothers, Tom (and Karen) Klumb of Columbus, OH, John (and Sue) Klumb of Faribault; sister-in-law, Diane Klumb of Muskego, WI; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.  George was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Joyce Klumb; and brother, Elwin Klumb.
