MARSHALL (KMHL) – The former director of the Marshall Convention and Visitors Bureau, Darin Rahm has pleaded guilty to seven counts of felony theft.
According to court records, Rahm was originally accused of embezzling more than $250,000 from the city of Marshall.
A press release from the city of Marshall, notes that Rahm served in the position from October 2014 until June of 2018. He was terminated following an investigation by the Marshall Police Department and the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office.
“The City of Marshall respects the judicial process and appreciates the work of bringing this to a conclusion,” said Marshall Mayor Bob Byrnes. “The City supports complete restitution and exacting a heavy penalty that is commensurate with the significant damage that has been done to our city by Mr. Rahm.”
Sentencing has been set for July 29.
