With the Primary Election now behind, attention is shifting toward the November General Election. Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon highlighted the significance of the upcoming election, noting the heightened interest both within the state and across the country.
“A lot of eyes are going to be on Minnesota. And a lot of Minnesotans’ eyes are going to be on the vice presidential election in particular—of course, there is so much more on the ballot than just that. So we’re in a fascinating 80-plus days as we travel together toward that General Election,” Simon said.
The Primary Election saw an estimated voter turnout of around 12 percent, underscoring the importance of mobilizing voters for the critical decisions that will be made in November. As the state prepares for the General Election, the focus will be on encouraging higher voter participation and ensuring a smooth electoral process.
