TRACY — A rural Tracy man is dead following a motorcycle crash on Friday. At approximately 11:05 PM on Friday, the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office received a call about a motorcycle crash on Lyon County Road 11 in Monroe Township.
A 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle, ridden by Steven Meyer, 55, from rural Tracy, MN, was traveling south on Co Rd 11 when it veered off the road near the Lyon/Murray County Line Road and collided with the utility pole, causing power lines to block the road. Meyer was pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency responders from the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office, Tracy Police Department, Tracy Fire Department, and Tracy Ambulance arrived to assist.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is conducting further investigation into the crash.
