Wheels Across the Prairie Heritage Center Annual Meeting
Wheels Across the Prairie Museum 3297 US-14, Tracy, MN, United StatesThe annual meeting for the Wheels Across the Prairie Heritage Center will be at 1 p.m. May 5th. Keynote speaker Nancy Guertner will present at 1:30 pm. A member of the North Star Chapter(of Germans from Russia), Nancy was one of five editors of the chapter's two anthologies "Hollyhocks and Grasshoppers: Growing up German from Russia in America" & "Watermelons and Thistles: Growing up German from Russia in America" both published in 2018. Nancy contributed three essays to the first book, writing about her one-room school and a woman that homesteaded near her grandmother's farm.
MCS – Marshall Tiger Boys & Girls Basketball Camp
Parkside Elemntary 1300 E Lyon St, Marshall, MN, United StatesMarshall Community Services has the Marshall Tiger Boys & Girls Basketball Camp at the Parkside Elementary Gym starting May 6th. The camp is available for 2 age ranges and runs 4 sessions Monday - Thursday. PreK - 1st grade will be 4 - 4:50 pm, 2nd - 4th grade will be 5 - 5:50 pm. Cost is $40. MCS – Spring Golf Lessons
Marshall Community Services is offering Spring Golf Lessons at the Marshall Golf Club Driving Range by the Lyon County Fairgrounds, lessons begin May 6th. MCS – Youth Archery
Marshall Community Services has a Youth Archery class starting May 6th at the Marshall Archery Range. Cost is $55, classes available for grades 3-4 & grades 5th & above. Grades 3-4 will be 4:30 - 5:30 pm, Grades 5 & above will be from 5:40 - 6:40 pm. Class is 4 sessions, held on Mon. 5/6, Tues. 5/7, Thurs. 5/9, & Fri. 5/10. 2024 United Way Gruffalo Walk
Support the United Way of Southwestern Minnesota and pick whether Troy Deutz or Aaron Ziemer will walk through Marshall in a Gruffalo costume for the 2024 Gruffalo Walk. Donate towards Troy or Aaron and the one with the most donations at the end gets to watch the other don the Gruffalo. Donations from the 2024 walk go towards supporting the UWSWMN's Stuff the Bus program, providing school supplies to local K-12 students.
