Let the Wood Lake fire department cook fried fish with all the fixings for you. Join in on the good food February 10th at the Wood Lake Community Center from 5 - 8 p.m. Woody's Bar will be there serving beverages. The fry will be a free will donation, 15$ is suggested. All proceeds from the fry will go to the fire department to help pay for new SCBAs.

The Lucan Lions Club is sponsoring a Meat Raffle on Saturday evening, February 10th at Knotts Corner in Lucan, MN from 7-9 p.m. The meat bundles are being provided by South Forty Meat Market and Ourada Cattle Company.

The public is invited to join the Pipestone County Historical Society for its February Coffee Talk on Thursday, February 15th when Senior Life Solutions, a program of the Pipestone County Medical Center, will share information about their program. Senior Life Solutions helps support the mental health of older adults experiencing depression, anxiety, or other mental challenges often associated with aging. Ask any kid where blood comes from and you'll probably hear that blood comes from the heart. Kids understand that giving blood is a gift and an act of kindness for those in need. If you are in good health, weigh at least 110 pounds, & are 17 or older or 16 with parental consent you are eligible to donate. The St. Edwards Knights of Columbus are hosting a Lenten Fish Fry on Friday, February 16th at St. Edwards Church in Minneota. Serving from 4:30-7:00 p.m. Adults (over age 12) are $15, kids (ages 4-12) $10, and kids 3-under eat free. Sponsored by St. Edwards Catholic Church. Take outs available. All are welcome.  

Please join the knights of Columbus council #4912 and Lincoln County VFW post #2980 for a fish fry on February 16th at the Lincoln County VFW Post 2980. Serving will be from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Menu includes : fish, green beans, french fries, & dinner roll. Cost is $13.00. Future Fish Fry dates include March 1st & 15th, same time, same place. GriefShare: New Session beginning Monday, February 19, 2024  If you have experienced the death of a loved one (spouse, child, friend, family) and are journeying toward grief healing, you are invited to GriefShare 13-week sessions.  GriefShare features biblical, Christ-centered teaching that focuses on grief topics associated with the death of a loved one. The DVD seminar features nationally respected grief experts and real-life stories of people, followed by a small group discussion about what was viewed. The session will begin Monday, February 19, 6:30-8:00 pm, in Holy Redeemer Church Gathering Space, Marshall.
