The presentation will be about her new book, We Suffered Much. She will talk about Charles Wood Irish and the Dakota Territory Railroad Survey of 1879 - 1881. C. W. Irish charted a path for the railroad , beginning in Tracy and headed toward Deadwood. The author will talk about events close to Tracy.

This is a sad story about Julia Wright who was taken captive along with her two children by the Dakota at Lake Shetek on Aug. 20, 1862. Attend the presentation and learn what happened to Julia and her children.
