The First Lutheran Church women Ministries is inviting everyone to "Cookin' vit de Norskies". A tribute to Creative Scandinavian cooks. This will be a light-hearted program inspired by Norwegian Lutheran cookbooks, highlighting vintage aprons, and focusing on growing up in a loving Norwegian family. All ages are welcome, and remember to wear your favorite apron! This event will take place Tuesday, November 1st from 6:30-8PM at the First Lutheran Church at 100 Church street. Coffee and Norwegian cookies will be served (also will be free will offering) no additional charge.

On Tuesday, November 8th serving from 4:30-7PM at Grace First Parish in Russel, Minnesota the 126th Annual election day dinner will be taking place. Meal prices will be 14$ for adults, ages 5-12 eat for 6$ and ages 4 and under eat FREE. The menu will include: Turkey with dressing, potatoes and gravy, corn, coleslaw, cranberry relish that's homemade, rolls, dessert, and a beverage. Carryout is available, and it is handicapped accessible.

The Milroy American Legion will be hosting a pancake breakfast on Sunday, November 13th from 9am-12pm. There is no admission fee, but free will donation would be appreciated. All proceeds will be going toward upgrading the Milroy City Park Shelter. The menu will include: Pancakes, Scrambled eggs, sausage links, apple sauce, milk, juice, and Coffee.

On November 18th from 2-6Pm, the HIll Street Place Dining Room in Marshall will be hosting the Hill Street Place Holiday Bazaar. This will be an opportunity to check out local artists, and vendors, and you can get some Christmas shopping done while being there too. On November 28th, from 1-5pm (Monday) the Hendricks Community will be hosting a blood drive. You can schedule your donation appointment at this link www.cbblifeblood.org, or by calling 605-331-3222. Also, all donors will receive a subway gift card. All donors mus be 17 years of age or older (if you are 16 years or younger you need a parent consent form at the website listed) and you need to weigh 110 pounds or more. You need to be in good general health of the day of the donation as well.

The St. Stephen Youth are hosting their annual cookie walk fundraiser on Saturday, December 3rd from 9am to 11am in the Fellowship Hall at St. Stephen Lutheran Church (1301 S. 4th St, Marshall). Mix and match your own variety of homemade Christmas baked goods (containers will be provided). Santa will be there so be sure to stop by and say hi while you find your Christmas goodies and support the youth fundraiser!
The Danebod Lutheran Church W-ELCA, in Tyler Mn, will be hosting their annual "Sharing Christmas Traditions at Danebod" on Saturday, December 3rd. The schedule will go like this: 3-5Pm Christmas shoppes (danish coffee cake, baked goods, meats, and more), 3-4Pm Coffee in the lodge (Coffee, Cider and Coffeecake served), 4-6pm 3 meat supper, 6:15pm will be entertainment that includes "Hometown Christmas) and dancing around the tree.
