Certified Nursing Assistant Training
The Southwest Minnesota Private Industry Council in cooperation with Adult Basic Education and Marshall Area Technical & Educational Center have openings for adults to enroll in Nursing Assistant Training that will lead to a Certification from the MN Department of Nursing. The class Introduces concepts of basic human needs, health/illness and basic nursing skills. Introduction to home care. Including care of child, reporting procedures, caring for special populations, homemaking skills and hospice care in a nursing home. St. Raphael Catholic Church Fall Festival is hosting two days of festivities! Schedule: Saturday, Sept. 11th - Starts with 5:30 pm Mass, Take and Go Beef Dinner for $10 per meal from 5 pm until 7:30 pm (or till gone), Craft Ladies, Country Store, Sweet Shoppe, etc. Sunday Morning, Sept. 12th - Starts with Mass at 10:30 am, followed by Lots of Food, Fun and Fellowship for the afternoon with Outside Food Stand, Live Music, TV Raffle, Live Auction, Silent Auction, Craft Ladies, Country Store, Kids Games, Sweet Shoppe, Raffle Drawing, etc.

The 61st annual Fall Festival and Raffle is now offering Cold Stone Ice Cream Cups for dessert with their Turkey Dinners. Drive Through and Pick-up dinners are available from 11 AM to 1 PM for $10. Punt, Pass & Kick Local Competition hosted by Andrew Suby State Farm. Who: Boys & Girls ages 6-11 will compete separately against their peers in punting, passing & place kicking. Compete and go between 9am-11am at Freedom Park in Marshall. Winners contacted after all scores are tallied. PRIZES/AWARDS: FREE SMSU Ticket to the 9/18 SMSU football game to all participants! Trophies to 1st place winners and medals to 2nd & 3rd place winners of each bracket will be awarded at the 9/18 SMSU football game (6pm start time)
