Certified Nursing Assistant Training
September 8, 2021 - November 5, 2021
The Southwest Minnesota Private Industry Council in cooperation with Adult Basic Education and Marshall Area Technical & Educational Center have openings for adults to enroll in Nursing Assistant Training that will lead to a Certification from the MN Department of Nursing. The class Introduces concepts of basic human needs, health/illness and basic nursing skills. Introduction to home care. Including care of child, reporting procedures, caring for special populations, homemaking skills and hospice care in a nursing home. The classes will be held at the Marshall Area Technical and Education Center (MA-TEC) beginning September 8th, 2021. Classes are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 12:12pm to 3:05pm and on Wednesday from 1145am to 220pm. Classes will end on November 5th where students will complete a state test out exam in both written and skill forms. Enrollment is open now through September 1st. These classes usually cost about $720 dollar but scholarships are available to those that qualify
