Indoor Christmas Tree Walk Ends

The 8th Annual Indoor Christmas Tree Walk ends TODAY at the Lyon County Museum, 301 W Lyon St, Marshall on Saturday, November 21. View decorated trees by individuals, families, non-profit organizations, businesses, and service organizations.  To vote for your favorite(s), place money in a box located by each tree. The top 3 organizations/businesses with the most money in their boxes will win the 2020 tree walk. Grief Support Group

Help and encouragement after the death of a spouse, child, family member, or friend. GriefShare is a special weekly seminar and support group designed to help you rebuild your life after losing a loved one. Our group is led by caring people who have experienced grief and want to help you through the difficult days ahead. Our group meets Tuesdays 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM in the basement of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Register at www.griefshare.org. We know it hurts and we want to help.

Third Thursday Artist Talk w/ Olga Krasovska

The monthly SMAC conversation for individuals will be on Thursday, November 19th at 5:30 pm. Guest artist will be visual artist Olga Krasovska of Granite Falls. This event will double as her Virtual Artist Reception for her current show in the SMAC Gallery. Brookings Dance Club

McKnight Community Center 228 W Main St, White, SD

The Brookings Dance Club will be hosting a dance FOR ALL on November 21 with the Norgaard Duo providing the music for your enjoyment.   You must be wearing a mask upon arrival and  your temperature will be taken at the door with sanitizers on the tables.  Your admission cost is $10  and $9 for members.  There will not be a food table but there will be the 50/50 drawing.  The dance will be held at the McKnight Community Hall in White SD from 8pm until 12 midnight.

Thanksgiving Community Meal

Grace Life Church of Marshall is offering a Thanksgiving Community Meal on November 26th. Curbside Pick Up and Delivery will be available from 11am-1pm. Unfortunately, the Dine-In option is not available this year due to the Covid-19 restrictions and precautions. The annual Thanksgiving Community Meal is offered FREE to families and individuals in our area for the past three decades thanks to the many volunteers and donors who make this event possible. A free meal will be served on Thanksgiving Day. From noon until 6pm, everyone is welcome to receive a free meal at the Christ United Presbyterian Church. In partnership with Loaves and Fishes, Esther's Kitchen will be serving the meal at 400 West Lyon Street.  Everyone is welcome for this FREE Thanksgiving Day meal from noon until 6pm. Light Up the Night – Parade & Fireworks

Join Prairie Home Hospice in their parade and firework display to kickoff their Annual "Light Up the Night" event! Parade begins at 6:00pm and the route will follow Main St to Lyon St, following Lyon St to Independence Park, where the fireworks display will take place at 7:30pm. Parade entries are welcome through November 22nd. Please call Prairie Home Hospice at 507-337-0080 by November 22nd to register. Come enjoy the winter wonderland of lights, horse drawn carriage rides, hay rides, holiday carolers, holiday concessions, ice skating, sledding, and warm up by the fire! Free will donations to Prairie Home Hospice will be accepted and appreciated throughout the event by using the red mailboxes to drop off. New events, such as a community lantern festival, letters to Santa, and others are being planned.
