Author Jim Heynen to Read Feb. 26 at SMSU
SMSU 1501 State St., Marshall, MN, United StatesAuthor Jim Heynen will read from his work at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 26 in Charter Hall 201 on the campus of Southwest Minnesota State University. His appearance, sponsored by the Creative Writing Program, is part of the Visiting Writers Series at SMSU. Heynen is best known for his short stories. Many of these stories have been broadcast on NRP’s “All Things Considered,” and Minnesota astronaut George Pinky Nelson took a recording of Heynen’s stories for bedtime listening on his last space mission. Motor and Movies – Drive-in Theatre
Amateur Sports Complex Parking Lot Victory Drive, Marshall, MNBring your family vehicle out for "Motors and Movies" This is a FREE, outdoor, double-feature event. The drive-in movie event will be held at the Amateur Sports Complex parking lot (east of the Red Baron Arena & Expo). The feature films are "Toy Story 4" and the latest version of "The Lion King". Movie starts at 7:00 PM on Saturday, October 17th.
