SMSU ResHALLoween

The Southwest Minnesota State University Residence Hall Association (RHA) will host ResHALLoween on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 4-7 p.m. in various residence halls on campus. ResHALLoween allows children from the community that are grades PreK-6 a chance to trick-or-treat through the residence halls of SMSU. There will be a wide variety of board game-themed houses, lots of candy, and fun for all! All children must be accompanied by an adult. Children are asked to wear their Halloween costumes and provide their own bag or container for candy. Admission for the event is one non-perishable food item or $1 per child. Donations [...]

Ivanhoe Spook-tacluar Haunted Trail

Investing In Ivanhoe is bringing back their spook-tacluar Haunted Trail!! Hot Ham & Cheese supper begins at 5:30. Kiddie Trail is 6:30-7:30 & Trail of Terror is 7:30-9:00 pm. The mile wooded trail behind the school will be 'haunted' for the night...come and check it out! Lincoln Elementary Book Fair will also be open. Proceed will benefit new playground equipment for the city.

He was diagnosed with high-grade Osteoblastic Osteosarcoma. Tanner needs to gain strength from surgery before he can start chemotherapy. Please come support Tanner by attending this benefit.

‘Spooky Space’ Planetarium Shows

SMSU Planetarium

The SMSU Planetarium will host a pair of “Spooky Space: Cosmic Connections to Halloween” shows on Thursday, Oct. 31 at 4 and 7 p.m. The show will include a laser light display entitled “Fright Light.” Space has its monsters, says Planetarium Director Dr. Ken Murphy. “Black holes, zombie stars and spectacular ghostly nebulae,” he said. Come learn about these wonders of the universe, along with other mysterious phenomena happening in space, including a close-up look at humanity’s relationship with the moon. This is a new production for the Planetarium, said Murphy. The laser show will follow.
