Our Lady of Victory Church in LucanOur Lady of Victory Church in Lucan invites everyone to their Buffet Style Dumpling/Sausage/Roast Pork/Sauerkraut Dinner and Auction on Sunday, September 22 beginning with the dinner at 11 a.m. followed by the Auction starting at 12:30 p.m. The auction offers such quality items as livestock; a 2003 Dodge Caravan; a JD L120 mower with 48” deck, 42” snowblower & soft cab; 10 rolls of plastic baler twine; bale rack with running gear, handmade quilts, an antique Hoosier Cupboard, many fine tools, recreational items, household items & furniture.

Screening of Luis Arguenta Documentary ‘The U Turn: A Transformational Journey’ Oct. 2
SMSU 1501 State St., Marshall, MN, United StatesSouthwest Minnesota State University will host a screening of the Luis Arguenta documentary film “The U Turn: A Transformational Journey” on Wednesday, Oct. 2 at 6 p.m. in the Conference Center, lower level. There will be a question-and-answer session with Arguenta after the screening. Argueta is a film director and producer who has been telling transnational immigrant stories since 1977. He has worked as a commercial director, lecturer and teacher in the United States, Europe and throughout the Americas. Two of Argueta’s most notable awards have come in the last four years. 5th Annual Walk Out of Darkness at the Breezy Barn
Please join us in the 5th Annual Out of the Darkness walk at the Breezy Barn - 10/5/19 Over the past four years approximately $40,000 has been raised to help suicide prevention programs from our little community with a big heart! Registration will begin at 9am at the BREEZY BARN with a short program with Luther Talks, Statewide Tribal Truth Suicide Prevention Coordinator at Minnesota Department of Health at 10am with the walk to follow.
