A private family service will be held for Deven Anderson, 26, of Walnut Grove.
Deven James Anderson was born on May 29, 1998, in Alexandria. He grew up in Lucan and attended school in Milroy. Deven graduated from Onamia High School. After graduating, Deven attended Itasca College, studying architecture and playing football. After a year, he transferred to the University of Minnesota in Duluth. Deven later bought a home in Walnut Grove and worked at Premium. His most recent job was as a grain elevator operator for Meadowland. Deven was a kind soul who cared deeply about his loved ones. He was always smiling and putting others before himself. He loved all of the children in his life, especially his youngest sister Amelia, and his nieces and nephews. Deven enjoyed playing basketball and football, as well as working on motorcycles and small engines. He loved skateboarding, longboarding and fishing, particularly night fishing. He was a laid back free spirit who was always listening to music.
Deven died unexpectedly at his residence in Walnut Grove on Thursday, November 7, 2024. He is survived by his mother Melanie (Jerry); sister Miranda (Tim), her children Liam (Deven’s godson), Harlow, Maddox, and Kason; brother Michael; sister Amelia; grandma Beverly; grandpa Michael; uncle Justin (Rachelle); uncle Charlie (Jennifer), their children Kalena, Maliah, and Dominic; and father figure Dallas. He was preceded in death by his grandpa Charlie.
