ST. PAUL, MN — The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) has announced $20.8 million in grants to support economic growth across Greater Minnesota. A total of 31 cities, townships, and counties will benefit from the funding, awarded through DEED’s Small Cities Development Program (SCDP). The grants will be used for property rehabilitation, public facility upgrades, and other development projects.

“This funding promotes growth and prosperity by supporting healthy communities and homes,” said DEED Commissioner Matt Varilek. Nearly 88% of the recipients serve low- to moderate-income individuals.
