Daryle Friedrichs, age 71, of Marshall, Minnesota, lost his battle with lung cancer on Thursday, March 18, 2021, at his home.  A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 26, 2021, at the Bethel Fellowship Church in Minneota, Minnesota.  A visitation and reception will follow, also at the church.  Occupancy limits and social distancing must be observed throughout all services.  Masks are required at all public indoor gatherings.

Daryle Dean Friedrichs was born on May 18, 1949, to John and Arlene (Brue) Friedrichs in Tyler, Minnesota. He spent his youth in Tyler and worked at the bakery through his high school years. He then went on to work at the Mobil station, Bornhoff Concrete, Lutz Garage, and later Norwood Johnson at Pioneer Seed Corn.  He also spent time with Doom and Cuyper Construction.  Daryle was united in marriage to Cheryl Johnson on March 9, 1968, and they lived in Marshall for five years. In 1973, the couple then moved to Westminster, Colorado, where he worked for the city in the Water Department until 1979. The family returned to Marshall and he worked for the wastewater treatment plant where he retired in 2011 after 32 years of service.  Daryle was a man who appreciated his family and cherished time spent with his grandchildren.  He was a member of the Bethel Fellowship Church in Minneota.  His passions in life included fishing, hunting, exchanging stories at the coffee shop, and camping at Stony Point campground on Lake Benton.

Daryle Friedrichs died on Thursday March 18, 2021, in Marshall, Minnesota. He had reached the age of 71 years and 10 months. Blessed be his memory.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Cheryl Friedrichs of Marshall; children, Dawn Friedrichs of Marshall, Daryl “Todd” Friedrichs of Minneota, Chad (and Melissa) Friedrichs of Minneota; mother, Arlene Friedrichs of Tyler; three brothers, Richard (and Nancy) Friedrichs of Champlin, Caroll (and Joyce) Friedrichs of Tyler, John Friedrichs of Marshall; six grandchildren, Kyle Aerts, Cassie Aerts, Carolyn “CJ” Friedrichs, Dalton Friedrichs, Cole Friedrichs, Riley Friedrichs; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.  Daryle was preceded in death by his father, John Friedrichs.
